SKAN, headquartered in Switzerland with a strong US presence, is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry for its cleanroom equipment. This equipment is routinely used in vaccine development, production of pharmaceutical products, and other critical operations to ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical drugs.

Our US base is comprised of a parts business, a field service/assembly team, a microbiology team, a documentation qualification department, and a field qualification team, among other administrative functions.

The Warehouse Operations Associate Level I position requires an energetic person with a fundamental understanding of shipping/receiving, inventory management, logistics, and day-to-day warehouse functions. The Warehouse Operations Associate Level I position could require some travel to customer locations throughout North America and possible travel to SKAN AG in Basel, Switzerland for periodic training. This position is based out of our SKAN US Facility in Raleigh, NC. The position reports directly to the Procurement & Warehouse Operations Team Lead.

The Warehouse Operations Associate Level I should be able to perform several duties to support the SKAN US operations. These duties include but are not limited to: SAP data entry, picking & packing inventory for shipment, receiving goods into inventory, tracking packages, restocking, and shipping parts daily, operating a forklift for loading and unloading, assisting with ware-house inventory counts, and moving crated items into the correct location in the warehouse.

Primary responsibilities

  • Knowledge of supply chain
  • Fully support all SKAN US Operations with fulfilment of orders, shipping, and receiving in line with shipping and order deadlines
  • Delivery tracking and retrieval
  • Work under the direction of the Senior Warehouse Associate and the Procurement & Warehouse Operations Team Lead
  • Stock inventory support
  • Keep the warehouse in good working condition (clean, neat, and orderly)
  • Act as a team player in the Warehouse to complete tasks
  • Effectively Communicate with SKAN US Departments and customers as needed, con-cerning shipments, status, delays, or deliveries
  • Assist in coordination of international shipments and deliveries, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to follow SOP’s and work instructions
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred

Skills

  • Must be punctual, flexible, and a team player
  • Must be energetic, outgoing, and professional in appearance
  • Have good organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Forklift certified or willing to be certified
  • A minimum of six months prior logistics and warehouse experience
  • A minimum Associate degree in Logistics or related field strongly preferred
