SKAN, headquartered in Switzerland with a strong US presence, is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry for its cleanroom equipment. This equipment is routinely used in vaccine development, production of pharmaceutical products, and other critical operations to ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical drugs.

Our US base is comprised of a parts business, a field service/assembly team, a microbiology team, a documentation qualification department, and a field qualification team, among other administrative functions.

Are you a self-starter with at least 2-3 years professional digital marketing expertise that you want to utilize in a successful growing company in the biopharma industry? SKAN US is looking to expand its Marketing Team! This new role will plan and coordinate local marketing campaigns for the US market for a multinational leader in our sector. This role will also serve as a member the global marketing team in Switzerland. The successful candidate will create digital content, prepare social media posts as well as coordinate activities with external agencies in collaboration and coordination with corporate marketing team. This key person will also identify content for scientific papers, plan for new local touchpoints and conduct customer and employee surveys.

Ideal candidates should preferably work in our Raleigh, NC US headquarters and have 2+ years of prior professional experience in Marketing and/or Corporate Communications, with solid knowledge and proven experience in digital marketing (SEA and SEO specifically). Some travel required for trade show attendance and client visits, plus 1-2 annual trips to global headquarters in Switzerland required.

Function Specific Tasks:

  • Collaborate with other department to ensure a consistency in the communication on all brand touch points. (CI/CD)
  • Plan and coordinate local marketing campaigns, including advertising, digital marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, adaptation of global campaigns according to the local needs and aligned on the global marketing strategy.
  • Participate as part of the global marketing team which is based in Switzerland.
  • Conduct market research to understand consumer and marketing trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Identify customer case studies for the local market
  • Create content, accompany shootings. Prepare social media.
  • Coordination of external agencies
  • Responsible for updating our social intranet with local content
  • Creation of additional local sales material for POS and events
  • Monthly marketing updates to sales directors and management
  • Assist in purchase and design of SKAN marketing promotion apparel, shirts, hats, and holiday gifts
  • Participate in Marketing Circle Meeting
  • Monthly meetings with SKAN AG marketing
  • Customer and Employee surveys
  • Coordinate and manage SKAN US videos
  • Track and ensure that current marketing literature, graphics, give-aways, etc are well stocked and up to date with the most current SKAN AG versions.
  • Identification of content for scientific papers
  • Media planning for the USA and identification of new local touchpoints

Special Tasks:

  • Work collaboratively with and assist the Marketing Manager during vacations and selected peak effort events with sales and larger SKAN US team support.

Experience Needed:

  • 2-3 years of prior experience required
  • Knowledge in digital marketing, in particular SEA und SEO.
  • Detailed understanding in social media management and implementation.
  • Experience in SAP (and C4C and/or SalesForce in particular), constant contact or equivalent contacts management software
  • Experience in dealing directly with customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in MS office suite and SAP applications.
  • Understanding and awareness of pharmaceutical company business and cGMP manufacturing regulatory environment

Qualifications Needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing and / or Communications.
  • Working knowledge of spoken and written German would be an advantage, but not required.
  • Genuine organizational, analytical, social and language skills.
  • MS- Office, Adobe CC
  • Professional attitude, team spirit, handles pressure well and has good written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Knowledge in digital marketing, in particular SEA und SEO.
  • Detailed understanding in social media management and implementation.
