SKAN, headquartered in Switzerland with a strong US presence, is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry for its cleanroom equipment. This equipment is routinely used in vaccine development, production of pharmaceutical products, and other critical operations to ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical drugs.
Our US base is comprised of a parts business, a field service/assembly team, a microbiology team, a documentation qualification department, sales, and a field qualification team, among other administrative functions.
Function Specific Tasks:
- Support for FICO Business Partners and Senior FICO Business Partners
- Participation in month-end closing
- Support with the budget and forecast process
- Coordination of IC reconciliations at SKAN group level
- Support/preparation of CO-relevant documentation (e.g., documentation for deputies, processes)
- Support with the further development of planning and reporting tools
- Support with the development/further development of key performance indicator systems
- FICO Business Partner – FICO support of the allocated profit centers at the SKAN group level
- Current area of responsibility (subject to change): LCS, PureSol, BIs, AMS/Maeven at the SKAN group level
- Participation in monthly closing/reporting and regular training of department heads/management board members
- Regular participation in profit center/cost center internal meetings
- Understanding of accounting guidelines (FER/OR) within the SKAN Group and their implementation in SAP. Close/regular communication with the accounting team.
- Participation in the further development of CO reporting at the SKAN Group level
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts at the SKAN Group level (including coordination with subsidiaries)
- Documentation of CO-relevant topics (e.g., documentation for deputies, processes) in ConSense
- Coordination of liquidity planning
- Further development of planning and reporting tools
- Close collaboration with the Business Unit Controllers in the same area of responsibility
- Development/further development of key performance indicator systems
Experience Needed:
- 5-8 years of work experience in the accounting/tax field
- BA/BS degree or additional relevant work experience
- First on the job experience with P&A tasks
- CPA/CMA highly preferred
Qualifications Needed:
- SAP knowledge (FI/CO) a must
- Mathematical accuracy, exceptional attention to detail
- Works independently, self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks
- Able to learn quickly and pick up new tasks
- Experience with sales and use tax filings a must
- Fluent in English, knowledge of German a plus
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required
- Proficiency using MS Office products, with an emphasis on Excel (pivot tables)
