SKAN, headquartered in Switzerland with a strong US presence, is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry for its cleanroom equipment. This equipment is routinely used in vaccine development, production of pharmaceutical products, and other critical operations to ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical drugs.

Our US base is comprised of a parts business, a field service/assembly team, a microbiology team, a documentation qualification department, and a field qualification team, among other administrative functions.

SKAN is experiencing rapid growth and is looking forward to welcome several members to the SKAN family!

Key responsibilites:

  • Managing the on-site activities of SKAN projects for SKAN US customers
  • Maintaining direct communication with SKAN AG project managers
  • Maintaining direct and constant communication with the customer
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Coordinating the internal schedule and resources for on-site activities, including installation, commissioning, qualification, and hand-over of the equipment
  • Coordinating the external schedule and resources with customer and 3rd parties
  • Keeping track of milestones, critical items, and critical paths of the project
  • Keeping track of open items/punch list items
  • Responsible for the cost, quality, and schedule of the project
  • Responsible for keeping compliant to GMP and GDP
  • Creating design documentation and specification documentation
  • First point of contact for customers and internal team members
  • Travel 25%, including international travel

Special Tasks:

  • Maintaining the processes and guidelines regarding to the project management team
  • Internal goal setting and tracking

Experience Needed:

  • 3 years of experience in project management, or 1year of experience in project management with European companies
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries preferred

Qualifications Needed:

  • Education: bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in technology / intellectual curiosity
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Visio, and use of project management software tools.
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Customer oriented attitude/strong service mindset
  • High intelligence and mental flexibility to manage multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously
