SKAN, headquartered in Switzerland with a strong US presence, is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry for its cleanroom equipment. This equipment is routinely used in vaccine development, production of pharmaceutical products, and other critical operations to ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical drugs.
Our US base is comprised of a parts business, a field service/assembly team, a microbiology team, a documentation qualification department, and a field qualification team, among other administrative functions.
The Order Management Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that customer orders are received and processed in a timely fashion, invoices are sent to customers after service is provided.
The successful candidate will work with both with internal staff and external customers to ensure SKAN delivers a quality customer experience. The candidate will also work to ensure the correctness of master data (customer and material) and work on other projects to support the Order Management team and the SKAN US business.
Function Specific Tasks:
- Works closely under the direction of the Master Data & Order Management Supervisor and with SKAN US personnel and external stakeholders to ensure the quality of master data and an efficient order to invoicing process.
- Processes customer orders and invoices customers when work is complete.
- Ensures smooth business operations through prompt and accurate master data preparation, order entry, and invoicing.
- Ensures delivery dates are accurately updated in customer orders.
- Executes changes to SAP master data (e.g. vendor, material, customer) as directed by the Master Data & Order Management Supervisor upon business approval, including setup, validation, and periodic maintenance.
- Ensures data quality, compliance, and consistency of master data, customer orders, and customer invoicing for all SKAN US.
- Abides by SKAN US and SKAN AG internal processes and controls.
Experience Needed:
- High school diploma required.
- Additional post-secondary education in Pharmaceutical/Biopharma industries preferred.
- Zero to three years’ experience in dealing directly with customers and employees.
- One to three years’ experience with business systems, operations preferred.
- Fluency in English is essential, other languages (Spanish, German, French) a plus.
