In class II safety cabinets, a portion of the filtered exhaust air is blown down through the workspace in a laminar flow as an “air stamp”, ensuring product protection.
Along the partially opened front window and together with the drawn-in room air an “air curtain” is created. This is returned to the filter or air recirculation through the air slots in the table segments, which protects the operator.
Part of the exhaust air returns to the laboratory environment via the exhaust air filter, free of particles and microorganisms. This also minimises the risk of particles from
inside the cabinet entering the laboratory environment.
