  • Solution

To protect sensitive products, the particle load in cleanrooms must be kept as low as possible.
A single person can emit up to 110’000’000 particles per minute when moving quickly. This means, the user is the largest source of contamination.
The choice of the right PPE (personal protective equipment), as a protective barrier between personal and product, is decisive for product quality.
SKAN supports you in the creation and optimisation of the protective clothing concept – from the identification of the hazardous substances to the wearing test.

  • Environmentally friendly single-use garment

Due to the pure raw material (100 % polyethylene), non-contaminated Tyvek protective clothing can be recycled in a environmentally friendly way and could be reused.
The products are manufactured by DuPont according to the environmental guidelines ISO 140011.

In comparison with reusable clothing, the following ecological factors must be taken into account:

    • Transport route of the reusable clothing to the laundry and back again.
    • Large amounts of energy are consumed during the washing, drying and sterilisation process.
    • The steps after washing are issued in a cleanroom, which also requires a lot of energy.
    • The used detergents are very aggressive and environmentally harmful.

Thanks to the single-origin raw material (100% polyethylene), non-contaminated Tyvek protective clothing can be recycled and reused in an environmentally friendly way.
The products are manufactured by DuPont in accordance with the ISO 140011 environmental guidelines.

Advantages In comparison with reusable clothing, the following ecological factors must be taken into account:
1. transport route of the reusable clothing to the laundry and back again
2. large amounts of energy are consumed during washing, drying and sterilisation
3. the steps after the wash cycle take place in a clean room, which also requires a lot of energy
4. the washing processes take place in large cleanroom washing machines. The detergents used (like many industrial cleaning products) are very aggressive and bad for the environment.
