SKAN, headquartered in Switzerland with a strong US presence, is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry for its cleanroom equipment. This equipment is routinely used in vaccine development, production of pharmaceutical products, and other critical operations to ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical drugs.

Our US base is comprised of a parts business, a field service/assembly team, a microbiology team, a documentation qualification department, and a field qualification team, among other administrative functions.

Function Specific Tasks:

  • Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on WGT’s
  • Perform and support IQ/OQ and PD/PQ at SKAN US and on customer site
  • Collaborate with colleagues to solve technical issues and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Stay updated on the latest WGT testing technologies, and best practices through training programs and self-study to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Implement corrective actions with assistance as needed to address deviations and ensure conformance to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure continuity with repairs and maintenance.
  • Travel 60% average, including international travel if field based, 50% average if Raleigh office based
  • Internal goal setting and tracking
  • Participate in and conduct WGT trainings as needed
  • WGT troubleshooting on site or remote
  • Provide support to the Metrology department as needed
  • Pay Range: $55,000 – $72,000

Qualifications Needed:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries preferred
  • Background in Mechanical or Electrical discipline required.
  • Strong verbal and written professional communication skills for coordinating projects, priorities, customer inquiries, problem solving, and proactive resource coordination/escalation.
  • Interest in technology / intellectual curiosity
  • Strong organizational and proactive management / communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Visio, and SAP
  • Customer oriented attitude/strong service mindset.
  • High intelligence and mental flexibility to manage multiple tasks / priorities simultaneously.
