Application

Liquid transfers for pharmaceutical processes

  • For pharmaceutical filling

Designed for liquid transfer in environments with the highest sterility requirements, including transfers between ISO 8 and ISO 5 classified areas.

  • For biotech and ATMP manufacturing

The transfer of advanced products such as ATMPs, including cell and gene therapies, can also be reliably handled using the AT-Port system.

  • For integration into isolators

The AT-Port system can be integrated into isolators and Restricted Access Barrier Systems (RABS). It is compatible with all SKAN isolators.

  • For high-containment applications

Enables safe liquid transfer when handling hazardous or highly potent substances, protecting both operators and the product.

Aseptic liquid transfer with AT-Port System

  • 1

    Connect to bulk container

Connector single-use system is attached to the bulk container and locked into the external wall port between containment zones.

  • 2

    Secure connector cover

From the higher-grade area (e.g., ISO 5), the connector cover is secured inside the internal port. Rotation opens the beta part under controlled conditions.

  • 3

    Uncover connecting tube

The connecting tube is safely exposed only inside the higher-grade chamber, preserving aseptic integrity.

  • 4

    Aseptic connection and transfer

Sterile connection is established, and liquid transfer begins immediately. The entire sequence is fast and precisely controlled, minimizing contamination risk.

    Grade A continuity

Aseptic integrity is maintained throughout the entire process, ensuring sterility.

  • A gloved hand inserting a white aseptic transfer nozzle into a stainless steel port with locking latches.

    Built-in safety

Interlock mechanisms prevent accidental exposure or improper operation, ensuring protection even in high-containment use. The beta part cannot be opened without the connector single-use system (SUS) in place, and the SUS cannot be removed unless the beta part is closed.
