100% polyethylene
Thanks to the single-origin raw material (100% polyethylene), non-contaminated Tyvek protective clothing can be recycled and reused in an environmentally friendly way.
The products are manufactured by DuPont in accordance with the ISO 140011 environmental guidelines.
Advantages In comparison with reusable clothing, the following ecological factors must be taken into account:
1. transport route of the reusable clothing to the laundry and back again
2. large amounts of energy are consumed during washing, drying and sterilisation
3. the steps after the wash cycle take place in a clean room, which also requires a lot of energy
4. the washing processes take place in large cleanroom washing machines. The detergents used (like many industrial cleaning products) are very aggressive and bad for the environment.
