The Downflow Bench DFB is a cutting table with activated carbon filter, ideal for pathology laboratories and mobile applications

We offer standardized or custom-tailored cutting tables for maximum reliability. Work surfaces are made of stainless steel 316, and the base is constructed from powder-coated steel. High-efficiency activated carbon filters enable simple, cost-effective installation without an external exhaust system. All systems feature an airflow velocity alarm.

Requirements

Requirements that make your daily work safer and easier

  • Protection from vapors

In pathology and histology laboratories, working with solvents generates hazardous vapors. Effective local exhaust at the workstation is essential to minimize inhalation risks and comply with occupational safety regulations.

  • High-performance activated carbon filtration

The filters used must reliably capture and neutralize solvent vapors. Activated carbon provides a large adsorption capacity, which is indispensable for daily laboratory work. A clearly defined filter replacement schedule is required to ensure consistently high effectiveness.

  • Ergonomic and open working

Laboratory work requires precision and unrestricted movement. Therefore, the table design must offer both an open work surface and an adjustable working height.

Functional principle

Direct fume extraction ensures operator safety

The cutting tables are designed in such a way that the vapours are extracted directly through the perforated working surface, away from the user, and downwards into the active carbon filters, ensuring excellent protection of the user in a safe and clean environment. No acrylic or glass panels are required.
