SKAN, headquartered in Switzerland with a strong US presence, is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry for its cleanroom equipment. This equipment is routinely used in vaccine development, production of pharmaceutical products, and other critical operations to ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical drugs.

Our US base is comprised of a parts business, a field service/assembly team, a microbiology team, a documentation qualification department, and a field qualification team, among other administrative functions.

SKAN is experiencing rapid growth and is looking forward to welcoming several members to the SKAN family!

Function Specific Tasks:

  • Commissioning, qualification, and validation of automated systems.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to ensure seamless operations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment with automation control systems, network, or HMI issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with equipment installation following wiring schematic through isolator sections and electrical cabinets.
  • Supporting the Service team on automation questions related to the SKAN equipment.
  • Assist with following punch list items through completion.
  • Prepares change request and change control documentation.
  • Code and APC backup / store according to SKAN process
  • Experience with Virtual Machines
  • Travel activity 50-60% or as needed

Special Tasks/ Responsibilities

  • Allen Bradley Controllogix
  • Allen Bradley Factory Talk
  • Siemens S7/TIA
  • Zenon knowledge
  • SQL Database Management
  • Creating and maintaining tickets in Sales Force

Experience Needed:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with SKAN isolators and processes would be preferred.
  • Experience in executing test protocols for automation software and control hardware.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Programming, Engineering, or related field with 1-5 years of experience.
  • In lieu of education, 5 years of experience qualifying equipment systems and PLC programming.
  • Ability to oversee electrical products, equipment, systems, etc. including elements of design, implementation, maintenance, and operational and safety standards.
  • Graduate SKAN academy when provided.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform work efficiently.
  • Prior experience with programming PLCs and developing ladder logic on Rockwell and Siemens systems.
