Room ventilation systems must be switched off and fire detectors and gas sensors must be deactivated. Furniture and electronic equipment can remain in the room during the decontamination process.<\/p>\n                                                <\/div>\r\n                                                                                    <\/li>\r\n                                                                                                                                                                                    <li>\r\n                                            <button class=\"opener\" type=\"button\">\r\n                                                <span>How is successful decontamination verified?<\/span>\r\n                                                <span class=\"icon\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\r\n                                            <\/button>\r\n                                                                                            <div class=\"slide any-b0 has-custom-list\">\r\n                                                    <p>The decontamination result can be verified and validated using biological indicators produced by SKAN. Each stainless steel carrier is inoculated with bacterial spores of Geobacillus stearothermophilus.<\/p>\n<p>The indicators are positioned at critical locations in the room. After an incubation period of 7 days the indicators will show whether the decontamination process has eliminated the spores.<\/p>\n<p>An alternative means to check the decontamination process is to use chemical indicators, which show directly whether surfaces in the room have come into contact with enough H<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>2<\/sub>.<\/p>\n
