CAUSE OF ERROR
When the screen displays "PAPER EMPTY" it means that your register has a paper empty error. This means that your register is out of paper.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this error you will need to pull out the old used-up rolls and replace them with new ones. Make sure the paper is coming from under the roll of paper , not over the roll of paper.

A good way to test which side of your paper has the thermal coast is to use your fingernail and scratch the paper. If a black or grey mark appears, that is the thermal side. If the mark does not appear, try the other side. If neither side of your register tape has the black or grey mark after been scratched, it might not be thermal paper.
