• Solution

  The microbiological safety workbench Platinum class II with modern design for efficient and safe work offers protection for user, product and environment. Safety, ergonomics and innovation are paramount. The latest technologies, materials and innovations have been used to meet stringent GMP requirements.

• Functional principle

  In class II safety workbenches, a portion of the filtered exhaust air is blown down through the workspace in laminar flow as an “air stamp,” ensuring product protection.

  Along the partially opened front window and together with the sucked-in room air an “air curtain” is created. This is returned to the filter or air recirculation through the air slots in the table segments, which protects the operator.

  Part of the exhaust air returns to the laboratory environment via the exhaust air filter, free of particles and microorganisms. At the same time, this minimizes the risk of particles from inside the workbench entering the laboratory environment.

  Class II safety workbenches are equipped with two or with three HEPA filters. The three-filter systems are primarily used for the production of cytostatics.
